My name is Ingrid and in the fall of 2010, after many years spent in the corporate world as an airline pilot, the creative side of my brain decided it could no longer be ignored. I founded Lilou, a small artisan weaving & dyeing studio.

I have a passion for colours. I never seem to get enough of the buzz they generate, the warmth and the fun they spread with infectious cheer. I am sure it’s an addiction, as I have stroked, admired, fondled and collected all sorts of swatches, bits of yarns, crayons and paint sets over the years, for no apparent reason. I just love the colours!

My main aim with Lilou, is to share my passion with you, by creating unique, ever-changing & colourful cloth and accessories. My preferred substrate is silk and I use natural dyes exclusively, for their un-matched depth and softness.
